The Danger Of Following Influencers
Weightloss Influencer
I would probably need double the hands I already have to count the times a weightloss influencer made me feel shit about myself, because I wasn’t slim enough. Now it’s not all them it’s also the poisonous media industries toxic standards to weightloss that started all this bullshit you see nowadays.
But never the less, the influencers are apart of the problem as they leech off this topic like leeches just to make a quick buck. They may be just thinking they are seeking the opportunity and they aren’t doing anything harmful. The danger is the younger men and women are so greatly influenced that is the scary part and even myself I am not a teenager but still I am feeling the pressure to loose weight and I have autoimmune so it makes it a lot more challenging and because of this challenge I am very depressed at times about my body image. Which leads to poor confidence!
I have high inflammation in my body which causes pustilar psoriasis, plaques, glute and groin area psoriasis. It can be very uncomfortable but I meditate to decrease stress, and exercise and eat high fiber, protein and slow releasing carbs such as beans, lentils, nuts, quinoa, sweet potatoes, that lower glucose levels compared to rice, pasta, white potatoes. I eat lower glycemic fruits such as berries, medium glycemic fruits such as apples but still only once to twice per week to ensure low glucose levels sustain as my homones if spiked cause my body to menstraul irregularly.
But even still, I feel bombarded by these influencers day after day, they are very toxic as they instill the ego and narcissism that is suffocating all of us in this society. Unless we grow and develop our compassion and nurture our empathy to ourselves and one another and to the next generation I only see more danger of this superficial disease, virus spreading throughout the world intoxicating all of us.
What we can do is separate the health and wellness coaches, healers, doctors from the weightloss influencers, try to filter the more negative teachings from the more positive teachings consciously and become more proactive and share information with one another sensitively, wisely especially to the next generation as the grow and develop for the future.
Do your research what bests suits your own individual body as everyones body is different, everyones life path, mind, body, spirit is different. Find your community connect to your brothers and sisters and help one another, support is available.
